If you are taking on the task of planning your wedding on your own (with the help of your fiance of course!) here are some tips from the professionals to help you plan efficiently. Not all of us would like to hire a wedding planner or consultant, but still want the tips obtained by experience.
- Give yourself time. This can be applied to the entire wedding process, as anything done last minute is never done right. But on of the key factors in which to apply this is to the actual set up on your big day. Whether it is the band at your reception, or the chairs at your ceremony, you will need time to have this prepared before guests start arriving. This is a question you can ask the venue, as getting started the day before might not always be allowed, but you should be granted the entire day of the wedding for preparations.
- Plan the route and give the directions to your guests. Sometimes online maps are wrong, so be sure they know exactly how to get there, the fastest and most practical way possible. This will avoid any last minute chaos and stress.
