Straight from the wedding consultants with years of experience, here are the tips that they think every bride and groom should know when planning their wedding.
- If you are having guests from out of town, book your hotel early. There are plenty of accommodation options that cater to wedding parties. Often you can arrange a section of rooms with a cheaper price. They can also have an arrangement with you to “release” any rooms you can’t fill with your notice. If they charge a penalty, look elsewhere, many hotels will do it without a problem.
- Considerate seating charts: if you have a lot of guests at your wedding, consider each individual and start doing a few drafts of where they’ll sit. Consider the singles, are they are a table with all couples? Then put them at a table with other singles that they know personally, this will make it more comfortable for everyone. Also be conscious of any family rivalry, if there is bad blood among anyone, be sure to seat them far apart to avoid any chance of a problem.
- Determine the order: make a list of priorities and put them in order, so that you accomplish what you need to in the time you have.
