Classic Wedding

Getting married is more than becoming engaged and then standing in front of a priest and saying “I do”. There are actually a lot of things to do between those two events, and that is a stress factor for anyone involved in it, as I’m sure that anyone who’s ever been involved in wedding preparation knows. If there’s anything that’s always welcome with anyone that is preparing and organizing a wedding, is some advice to take the edge off, so that’s what we tried to put together here.
First of all, don’t be afraid to be on a budget. In fact, being aware of your budget and your limits is essential in narrowing down the choices you’re going to make for the wedding you’re organizing. It’s also important to be even in the way that you spend so one item isn’t pulling the entire budget down. For instance, overspending in the wedding dress will leave you with little money to spend on, for example, the bridesmaid dresses. This will result in a gap in quality between the two that will definitely show at the wedding and in the wedding photos. Ideally you would also have some backup money in your budget to handle unforeseen and last minute expenses.
When it comes to picking venues, people tend to go for something that is pretty to begin with. Well, out advice would be, if your venue is a historical one or something that’s already got a natural charm to it, don’t touch it much, just add some little items to make it more “wedding-esque”. On the other hand, if you have a lot of ideas and set notions on how you want the décor of your wedding to be, our advice would be to pick a venue that’s pretty much bare and then you can do whatever you want with it. The surrounding landscape should also be taken into consideration, otherwise you risk having your wedding photos look really bland.
Finally, our last advice is to use the Internet in your favor. There are a lot of websites out there that specialize on weddings, some of them better than others, but can always get a few ideas from them. Also, there are clothing stores online that have dedicated wedding sections. A good example of this is Very.co.uk, a store we personally recommend as one of the best out there when it comes to weddings.
